UI Developer
Journey Group is seeking a full-time front-end developer to join our app studio.
We are looking for an organized self-starter to join our team. You’ll work closely with a small, experienced development team to implement full-stack web applications, contributing to both client and agency work.
Journey Group is an independent design company serving non-profit institutions around the world. We place a high value on collaboration, community, and client service. Because we value and enjoy collaboration, this position will require you to work on-site in our Charlottesville, Virginia, office.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Experience & Skills
We are seeking a candidate with 3 or more years of applicable experience.
Competency with HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript (particularly Vue.js or another reactive framework) is required. Experience with PHP is a bonus.
Our team is highly collaborative, so the abilities to work alongside others and communicate clearly are vital.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:
- Refining and developing interface designs in Figma
- Implementing reactive front-end application architecture (Nuxt.js)
- Collaborating closely with designers and other developers to deliver and support all client and agency projects
All candidates for this role will need to be local (or willing to relocate) to the Charlottesville, Virginia, area.
After a first round of interviews, we may request that applicants complete a programming assignment to assess experience.
